Dawn Wilk - Supported by Mountain Mercy Project

As of April 2012, Mountain Mercy Project is helping to support Dawn Wilk as she goes to Mozambique, Africa.  Dawn is working as a registered nurse for Iris Ministries there in Mozambique.

Civil wars have ravaged Mozambique for many years.  In the year 2000, catastrophic flooding occurred there when three cyclones came together and brought torrential rain for forty days and nights.  More damage was caused by this flooding than the many years of civil war.  As a result of the combined civil unrest and natural disasters, Mozambique is considered one of the poorest countries in the world.

Iris Ministries have been in Mozambique since 1995 helping the poor in many different areas such as starting Bible schools, medical clinics, primary and secondary schools, farming and vocational training, church plantings, bush conferences, counseling and child sponsorship.  In the future, they are planning to launch a university for the poor in Pemba, Mozambique.  You can go to for more information.

Dawn Wilk is working as an R.N. in several different medical clinics that Iris Ministries started around the Pemba area of Mozambique.  She is helping mothers and babies that are severely malnourished, and travels to several clinics to provide medical care for the world’s poorest people.  Dawn does not want to be a financial burden on Iris Ministries, so is looking for financial support through friends and Mountain Mercy Project. If you would like to be a part of Dawn’s support system, please go to the Donate page.  You can visit her blog at this link:
